Roland Bissonnette B. Comm, C.A. is a sole proprietorship in the practice of chartered accountancy with 30 years experience. Services offered include accounting, bookkeeping, auditing, personal and corporate income taxation for small and medium sized enterprises and organizations
Roland has served his profession and the broader community with distinction for some 25 years. The highest standards of professionalism, integrity and dedication have marked his local roles with his firm, his service to the C.A. profession and his tireless community contributions as a senior leader of many wide reaching organizations.
Roland began his career in Bathurst N.B. with H.R. Doane and Company (Grant Thornton Doane Raymond’s predecessor firm) and earned his C.A. designation from the New Brunswick Institute in 1977. He was promoted to supervisor in 1978 and became a member of the Quebec Order in 1979 when appointed Manager of the firm’s Montreal office. In 1981 he was appointed Audit Manager in the firm’s Toronto office and admitted to the Ontario Institute. In 1985 Roland returned to his hometown of Cornwall where he practices accounting as a sole practitioner.
Complementing Roland’s career accomplishments are his New Brunswick, Ontario Institute and Quebec Order memberships as well as serving as president of the local SD&G Chartered Accountants Association particularly in the area of promoting the profession to high school students and providing free tax clinics to seniors.
Roland is also active as a volunteer in the support of numerous community organizations and activities. He held senior roles with the Bathurst Rotary Club, Dominion Executives Association Montreal, Big Brothers of Cornwall Red Cross, Cancer Society Relay for Life, Children’s Treatment Centre, Ontario Trillium Foundation grant review team and the Cornwall Business Association.
